My friends and I planned a trip to Colorado for Vail and Breckinridge. Unfortunately for us, it was early in January and the conditions weren’t actually ideal enough as there wasn’t actually that much snow. Without enough coverage and being too windy, we couldn’t actually go to the highest peak at Breckinridge. Breck was actually pretty similar to what we have in the East, just… MUCH bigger.
Vail, on the other hand, was such a sight for us. It was our first experience snowboarding at a bowl, and it was awesome! It felt pretty great to take a lift up and actually snowboard down for more than 15 minutes before having to take another lift up (unlike ~5 minute trails in the east). There was so much room on the trail, that I never once worried about colliding with another person at any point. If only there was powder…
